I've been working in the Australian caravan industry since 2013, helping people buy and sell campers, caravans and motorhomes.

Over the years I've watched the same story unfold time and again. Families outgrow their first van. Couples decide it's finally time to do the lap of Australia. Weekend campers discover they want something better suited to longer adventures. Our needs change as life changes.

What has always bothered me is how expensive that journey can become. Too many good people end up losing thousands of dollars simply because they're ready for the next chapter.

I believe there should be a better way.

That's why I created VANTURE.

The idea is simple: make it easier, fairer and more transparent for Australians to buy and sell caravans.

Private sellers can list their caravan for free with a professional-looking listing, detailed specifications and photos that can be shared anywhere — Facebook, WhatsApp, email, forums or the family group chat. Your listing isn't tied to a single platform. It becomes something you can take wherever your buyers are.

I've always believed selling your own caravan shouldn't come with unnecessary barriers. Keeping private listings free is one small way we hope to make the process a little easier for everyone.

While free listings are important, buyers are actually at the heart of everything we build.

My guiding principle is simple: every person who uses VANTURE deserves to be treated the way I'd want my own family to be treated.

That's why we've already built detailed specifications for more than 4,000 caravan, camper and motorhome models — and we're adding more all the time. We want VANTURE to become a trusted place to research, compare and buy with confidence, whether you're purchasing your first camper or your fifth caravan.

It's also why we're building buyer tools like tow matching: add your tow vehicle to your free account, and every listing tells you whether it's compatible with what your car can safely tow.

Notice I said compatible, not simply legal. Those aren't always the same thing, and we'd rather help people make informed, confident decisions than simply tick a box.

Our job is straightforward: connect genuine buyers with genuine sellers.

Whether you're a private owner, a dealership or someone looking for their very first caravan, everyone deserves the same opportunity to be discovered. When someone chooses to promote a listing, the rules are the same for everyone — simple, transparent and fair.

We're only just getting started.
