What regular maintenance does a caravan actually need?

A van sits still most of the year at my place, and I want to keep it reliable rather than discover problems on a trip. What's the real maintenance schedule people follow — bearings, tyres, brakes, seals — and how often? Trying to build a simple routine so nothing important gets missed.

Even sitting still, a van needs looking after. The big ones: wheel bearings inspected and repacked roughly every 10,000km or annually, brakes checked and adjusted, and tyres replaced on age not just tread — caravan tyres often crack and age out around 5–7 years before they wear out. Re-seal roof and window seals yearly to keep water out, because water is what quietly kills vans. Grease the coupling, test the 12V and gas systems, and check the chassis for rust. If it's stored, keep the tyres inflated, the battery maintained, and move it occasionally. A yearly professional service plus your own checks catches most trouble before it strands you.
