Pop-top vs full-height vs hybrid vs off-road — how did you choose?

So many van styles and every dealer swears theirs is the one. Pop-tops are lighter and easier to store and tow, full-height gives you more room and insulation, hybrids and off-road vans open up remote camping but cost more and weigh more. I'm curious how people actually landed on their choice — was it storage at home, where you like to camp, budget, or towing limits that made the decision for you?
